say what?

you guys know the Magic Eye 3D pictures? the photos wherein you have to look through the it to see the hidden 3D image? ever since i discovered how to "see" those pictures, i always got excited to take a look at 3D illusions. and what do you know, apparently it works on text too :D

(for those having a hard time looking at it, try looking at the image cross-eyed to read the hidden message)

long overdue

this post is long overdue, but it's better late than never.

i do have some television problems at home. you see, i don't have cable tv. cable tv = additional expenses for moi. plus, my television set is soooo old, it can only have up to 30 channels. i want to buy an lcd tv but that's not my expense priority right now. and the reception is bad, GMA and ETC are the only channels i could watch clearly.

the point is, i wasn't able to watch Wrestlemania 26 earlier because of my poor-ness. (waaah!) so last night i was in batangas. and at about 10:30PM i was about to sleep when my dad knocked at my door and said two words -- "Wrestlemania 26". hallelujah! i'll finally be able to watch! (jusko sa wakas! aaaaaahhh!) can you feel it?! adrenalin baby!

of course i know some of the results already (the important ones haha), but you still get a different high when you watch it. i didn't get to see the start. too bad i missed Triple H's match :( luckily, i was able to catch the middle of bret & vince's match. if you look at it objectively, it wasn't all spectacular. parang normal match lang. but if you consider that it is Bret Hart -- THE HITMAN -- who is in the ring, you can take all the pyrotechnics away and still be in awe.

then there was Chris Jericho and Edge's match. hmm.. what can i say? it really wasn't a match that would be my favorite. first, i don't like Edge, just because he stole Lita from Matt. HAHAHA! =)) yes, i am biased. Lita and Matt fan ata to! Team Xtreme FOREVER! hahahaha! as for Y2J, i don't know... i used to really like him. now he seems to have lost some of his sparkle :( i'm not really sure, is it because he's a heel now? or is it because he cut his hair? HAHAHAHAHA!

and then Batista and John Cena. ok, so i'm not really a fan of bulky wrestlers. i prefer the smaller, high flyers (Jeff Hardy, HBK, Bret, John Morrison - you get the picture). well, except Taker and Triple H. but batista's OK. he's huge, but he's not just all brawn (sarap pare!). as for cena, i don't like him in terms of wrestling really. yes, he's strong, but his moves can be repetitive. and what kind of finishing move is that?? not really mindblowing in my opinion. and i do think that he is over-rated. but i admit that it's amazing how he could hype up the crowd! talk about charisma and passion - he's got it! so i give him good grades for that. oh yea, i did notice how good he looks when he smiles. love the dimples! congratulations new champ! (but why did batista have to tap out??? bakettt?)

and finally! Career vs Streak. Shawn Michaels vs the Undertaker. way before Wrestlemania, when i learned that HBK and Taker is going to have a rematch, i told my friend "kinakabahan ako sa rematch na yan ah..." because the year before, HBK and Taker had the best match EVER! sobrang ang galing galing! finisher after finisher. counter after counter. and just when you thought it's over, one shoulder gets off the mat. sobrang stressful pero ang galing! and HBK ALMOST broke taker's winning streak. and as much as i love shawn michaels, i don't think ANYONE should EVER break taker's streak. so just thinking of a rematch... wah grabe.

and i wasn't disappointed in Wrestlemania 26. HBK's entrance was simple, classic. no frilly extras. i love it! and taker too! no monks with torches. he just changed his trenchcoat and replaced his hat with a hood. but anyway, Undertaker's entrance is always amazing. isn't it awesome how that first bell goes off and crowd goes "WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH!"? oh oh! i think shawn got a hot oil treatment. SO. GORGEOUS! after sweet chin musics and tombstones and last rides and an ankle lock (matagal ko nang hindi nakita yun ah) and hell's gate and kung ano ano pa... 18-0 woohoo!! (although it would've been better if i didn't know the results. mas exciting sana.) as for HBK, he will be missed, definitely. but i am glad he had a graceful exit. i mean, that would be the best last match -- main event in Wrestlemania. and he was teary-eyed after the match (or was he crying already?). waaah... 25 years of captivating fans all over the world. thank you shawn

what's wrong?

there must be something wrong with my hormones. my mood has been swingy lately, without any real reason. one minute i'm happy, a second later i'm so down. weirddd.

like the other day, while riding the bus going to work, it showed videos of charice pempengco. it showed her performances in oprah, and her duet with celine dion, news clips etc. and guess what, i got teary eyed. what. the. hell. it was a video of charice, for crying out loud. (no, i'm not bashing charice. she has a really good voice, but it's really not something that would get a person teary eyed.) i was so touched and i was like "wow, ang swerte ng batang to :')" gah.

and then, on the way to subic (bandang SCTEX ata), while looking at the road, i started to feel like i was in america. and i imagined myself living there. and then yea, i admit, i felt frustrated - all while looking at a bunch of trees, blue skies and a wide road.

and last night, i watched disney's original movie Camp Rock. and when joe jonas sang his composition to demi lovato near the lake, i was so "awwww...". to think that it was so highschool. gah.

tsk, ano ba to? hassle!

10 steps to have 10 million bucks

i heard that there are two ways to have money. a.) earn more/find more sources of income or b.) cut back on expenses. so here's my game plan:

1. become a fan of instant coffee instead of lattes and cappuccinos
2. work at least 14hrs a day
3. stock up on biscuits/pan de sal and have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks
4. on cheat days, you may indulge on instant noodles
5. or better yet, plant kamote at home so you could reward yourself with kamote que later on
6. put on face powder, lip butter, blush, lip gloss, eyeliner once a day -- strictly no retouches
7. use generic dishwashing liquid/detergent/fabric softeners/lotions/soaps (like yung Bonus ng SM supermarket) instead of branded ones
8. cut my own hair. do my own scalp and hair treatment too.
9. watch the videos shown in tv displays in appliance stores instead of watching movies
10. use your home computer for a maximum of 3 hours per month only

hmm... now if i could just come up with realistic ones...

this is it

i just finished watching Michael Jackson's This Is It video (i know i'm so delayed and i'm a loser.) he is such an amazing person. he's a great performer! but aside from that, it was really nice to see how he works before a concert. he's so hands-on and he knows his music very well. as one musician said, "you can't fool him". plus, he does not compose crap music. he creates songs from his heart, his passion. yes, that's what he is -- passionate. ang galing talaga :D oh, and how many times did he say "for the love" and "God bless you"? and "that's why we rehearse" :)

can i say that his instrumentalists are amazing?! well, what else do you expect in a MJ concert, right? and his guitarist is a girl! woohoo! and the lights. the props. the videos. the pyrotechnics. the dancers. the backup vocals. everything is amazing :D

i know we are faaaar from MJ-level, but somehow, seeing the video reminded me of my 4-year tenure in the DLSU Pops Orchestra (now called the Surreli Pops Orchestra). just before a major concert. the planning. the brainstorming. the stage and props design. the scripts. the practices and technical rehearsals. woooow! nakaka-miss!! and the people of course. paulit-ulit naming sinasabi dati na Pops is family. but you really wouldn't understand it unless you experience it yourself.

photo taken by Mark Carandang (thanks!)

i could not imaging my college years without it (well, na-imagine ko... feeling ko kung walang Pops, magiging hardcore computer nerd ako na walang social life. hahaha!)

hey hey! guess what i found!! those were the days when i was thin and my life's struggles involved projects and exams and thesis and i didn't have to wear slacks almost everyday and i could cut class just because i want to. sarap!

i'm sorry though, this are trimmed versions. i can't find the complete videos anymore :(
